To end 'Deaf Awareness week' on a high, our wonderful 'sing and sign choir' performed our song of the week- True Colours during our whole school assembly last Friday! Each class was also visited and the children were taught some of the signs to go with the song lyrics! Such a tear jerking moment when everyone joined in! Here is the 'sing and sign choir's' last practice before the assembly- aren't they just amazing! Well done everyone, we are so proud of you!

Our creative KS1 children are near the end of a Design Technology unit on Mechanisms. They have looked at toys and familiar objects found at home that are mechanical and have levers, linkages and pivots. They have now almost finished making their mechanical Moving Monsters! The children all worked with independence and self- motivation bringing their creative ideas to life! Well done everyone!

Our passionate Eco-Ambassadors led part of our whole school assembly this afternoon. They spoke eloquently about the importance of walking to school and promoted their challenge to all the children- for as many of them as possible to walk, scoot or cycle to school during our 'Walk to school week' starting on May 18th.
